In "The Farrier's Visit", a skilled farrier carefully fits a new shoe to a trusted Shire horse while the farmer and a young farm lad watch nearby. The farm dog lies contentedly in the sunshine, chickens scratch around the yard, and a weathered farrier's van stands ready for the next call.

Inspired by traditional British farm life of the 1940s and 1950s, this nostalgic scene captures a slower pace of life when skilled tradesmen travelled from farm to farm, helping to keep the working horses of the countryside in good health.
